1838 MAP OF NORTH CAROLINA

Have you ever heard our Great Smoky Mountains called Iron Mountains? I hadn't, until I recently discovered this map in an old family cedar chest. It shows the names of the largest (or only) settlements in existence in 1838. Entered according to the Act of Congress in the year 1838 by T. G. Bradford in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of Massachusetts. This map was engraved by G. W. Boynton.

Copies of this map are available in black and white on 14"x17" paper, and are suitable for framing. Each map will be shipped in a mailing tube. If you wish to order please send $15.00 check or money order to:
