The following is a list of the person al property belonging to the estate of Daniel B. Brown, dec'd sold by William Graham, Adm. of said estate on the 29th day of Nov. 1849.

Rebecca Brown purchased 1 bed & furniture, another bed & furniture, 1 side board & furniture, 10 sitting chairs, 1 chest, 1 table, 1 trunk, 1 spinning wheel, 1 set of fire dogs, 1 shovel & tongues, 1 skillet, 1 rifle gun, 1 trunk and cloathing, 1 bible & hymn book, 1 pot, 1 tray & churn, 1 oven, 1 piggin [pig iron?] & coffee pot, 1 lot dishes, 1 table, 1 saddle, 1 pair steelyards, 1 bell, 1 saddle, 1 lot sundries, 4 barrels, 6 barrels, 1 stand, 1 lot sundries, 1 lot sundries, 1 lot hoes, 3 axes, 1 cow hide, 2 axes, 1 waggon & gear, 1 cart, 5 bu. oats, 1 buggy, waggon and harness, 4 baskets, 1 shovel plowing gear, 2 shovel plows, 1 scythe & cradle, 1 set blacksmith tools, 5 head of sheep, 1 black sow, 1 spotted sow, 8 head hogs, 1 sow & 4 pigs, 1 sow & 3 pigs, 1 cow & bell, 1 black sided cow, 1 grindstone, 1 lot coopers ware, 1 wash pot, 1 black horse, 1 pen shucks, and 1 pen shucks & straw.

Sarah Brown purchased 1 clock, 1 sideboard & furniture, 1 cupboard, 1 lot books, 1 bedstead & furniture, 1 lot books, 1 lot books, 1 spinning wheel, 1 churn, and 1 loom, 1 lot barrels, 1 med. Spotted cow, and 1 Negro woman, Jenet, aged 60.

Ann Brown purchased 1 table, bedstead & furniture, 1 tub, 1 black cow, and 1 Negro woman, Jude, aged 40.

Mary Brown purchased 1 bed & furniture, 1 table, 1 chest, 1 umbrella, 1 book, 1 side saddle, 1 loom, 2 boxes, 1 med. cow & calf and 1 white heifer.

Daniel Brown purchased 1 man's saddle.

Andrew J. Brown purchased 2 iron wedges and 1 scythe & cradle, 2 bee gums, 1 side leather.

Wilson Brown purchased 1 plow & gear and 1 lot plows, 1 speckled bull yearling.

Murdock Brown purchased 1 bull.

John Sneed purchased 1 shot gun.

Mary Sneed purchased 1 shot gun, 1 lot pot ware and 1 black cow & calf.

Jane Pate purchased 1 linen wheel, 1 plow & gear, 5 head sheep and 1 grindstone.

Lewis Pate purchased 2 saws and a drawing knife.

Archibald McNeill purchased 2 stands

John Covington purchased 1 lot hoes.

Elisha Gibson purchased 1 lot augers, 1 scythe & cradle

Willy W. O'Bryan purchased 1 lot planes, 1 adz, auger & axe

Hugh Livingston purchased 2 moulding planes.

John C. Graham purchased 1 box sundries.

William H. Bialey purchased 10 bushels oats.

Thomas M. Wright purchased 1 plow & clevis, 5 head of sheep, 1 red sided heifer, 1 black sided heifer.

Thomas Beasly purchased 1 lot plows & gears, 1 black sided heifer.

Reuben Norton purchased 1 shovel plow & gear, 1 white bull yearling.

William Norton purchased 5 head of sheep.

Bennet R. Jackson purchased 1 mule.

One judgement against Samuel Wallace for $11.50 and interest on same $2.50 and cost $.80 dated the 15th July 1845 with a credit of $1.50 the 6th Sept. 1846. Desperate.



  ONE YEARS ALLOTMENT TO FAMILY:

Out of the inventory the following has been set apart by a committee for the years support of the widow and family of the dec'd. Viz.

200 bushels of corn
1500 lbs. blade fodder
2000 lbs. pork
100 lbs. coffee
50 lbs. sugar
25 gallons molasses
3 sacks salt
50 lbs. Iron (?)
3 barrels flour
40 bushels cotton seed
50 lbs. lint cotton
6 bushels peas
1 pen shucks
1 bed & its furniture
1 wheel & cards
75 bushels sweet potatoes
$40 in cash

State of North Carolina, Richmond County William Graham Adm. of Dan'l B. Brown maketh oath that the foregoing is a true and correct inventory of the estate of his intestate that has come to his possession. Jan 21, 1850. Signed William Graham.
